Working hours: 20 hours per week
Background:
JEST is a local NGO that was launched with the goal of planting a seed from which an entrepreneurial community may grow. The concept revolves around a physical hub for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs – from those at the idea stage to those who own companies. Hub services includes technological, financial and marketing consulting and support; strategic planning advice; networking meet-ups; and platforms for joint ventures, to help to create a rich and effective entrepreneurial/startup ecosystem in East Jerusalem
Objective:
JEST seeks to employ a passionate, energetic individual to be hired as part-time accountant in its office in Sheikh Jarrah
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a NGO
- Proven experience and heavy involvement in local and international donors projects ( EU experience is a plus)
- Good knowledge of the Israeli labor, tax, banking and financial laws
- Knowledge of accounting software systems
- Excellent skills in MS Excel & analytical skills, with full computer literacy
- Good written and oral communication skills in Arabic, English, and Hebrew
- Hold Jerusalem ID
